For you Dad
For all the ones who don’t understand German and therefore not what the last post is all about it’s that my dad handed over the operational part of his business, which means another company takes all the employees to the exactly same conditions. So he didn’t sell “Odoni AG” as such since it will go on as a venture company but just found the best solution for the future of the company especially the employees at ideal point of time.
How do I feel about it?
It’s kind of strange because I’m in this eternal conflict between heart and mind. Keeping in mind that it was my decision not to take it over I think it’s the best solution from the objective point of view. My way is another one and I see my future in other directions – I know that as well as my dad and the people who know me.
But still it’s kind of strange seeing that a family tradition stops after 150 years and 4 generations… I’m the one who gives it up and no matter that the mind accepts it sentimentally I’m touched and somehow sad.
However I’m proud of my dad having solved the “how to go on with the company” question so professionally and quickly. More than that I’m really grateful that he accepts my will and decision supporting me whatever I do.
Thank you dad.

Hi Gio,
Didn't know we had a family business in common. Tough situation. Glad things worked out for you and your dad.
Hugs
