baila baila conmigo, baila baila mi amor
Well, this is an AIESEC dance that came so much true for that weekend. Friday we went to FIZZ (a disco down town) and danced pretty much the whole night. And as you probably know dancing in Ecuador means really moving your body, moving it hard, not just like in Switzerland… and besides there was “barra libre” which means once you paid the entrance fee you get all the drinks for free. So kind of happy I arrived home at 5 a.m. and got up at 9am heading down town with Tania where we took our first dancing lessons.
It was a small room with no air-condition so imagine the head – us still feeling the alcohol level it was really really intense. But I enjoyed a lot and we learnt some new stuff although we started with the basics of Salsa and Merengue which I actually passed long time ago. But that’s the way it works and I’m sure about making some further progress.
In the afternoon I definitely had to take a power nap before we went out partying and dancing again.
On Sunday I had my first official invitation at Tania’s place where the whole family was present and one of her auntie’s started a whole interview about me back and forth. Well, I took it easy and gave some diplomatic answers. Still I was really glad when Barbara called me and kind of saved me from this never ending family session.
Went bowling in the evening and found out about my new small and tiny bed in the evening. My family changed my bed which now is not more than 90cm and you lie in it like a banana. Will put the mantras on the floor tonight to see if that helps…
Anyways will be tired cause of having had attended some more dancing classes!
SIGUE BAILANDO, SIGO BAILANDO – Sip, me encanta!
