watching the moon
Yesterday when we arrived home after a more or less thrilling party I went on the balcony for my good night cigarette.
I was stunned at the picture that was presented to me there!
The full-moon was brightly shining and lightening up the dark night.
Some white clouds were drifting by on the black heaven followed by some black and evil looking constellations of clouds a bit further away from the moon.

It was such a special moment.
At first I felt the light; I felt its power, its strength.
Then the dark clouds came across and started covering the moon till the moon itself was not to see anymore
– but the light was still there I figured.
The light is always there, even if sometimes you are not able to see it you know that it exists, you know its there because you believe in it.
If light is our guidance then passing the light on is our mission
with the final goal of having a world full of light –
light in everybody’s soul
light in everybody’s heart
I felt that the light is with me, no matter where and how I am.
I felt so conscious, so aware of being.
“I AM”, I thought and I’m so happy and grateful about it.
I am blessed with so many people that believe in me, support me and are there for me.
I am accompanied by angels that guard and protect me.
This picture stands for HAPPINESS
I guess it's what describes best the state I'm in at the moment.
I AM AWARE
I AM GRATEFUL
I AM HAPPY

Hey Giovanni,
it has been a long time since I did not read friend's blogs.
I just came today on yours after a long while and I read all what happened to you in Ecuador in October.
I'm very happy you are doing well and that nothing worse happened. I can't even imagine what's to have a gun pointed at you and being shoted. I'm happy you are working with kids now which are always the nicest part of the society and can work not only to have an impact for Ecuadorian AIESECers but also Ecuadorian Kids.
Lots of Hugs!

Hey Gio,
We haven't caught up in ages since I left you at the airport in Poland with 6 layers of clothes on trying to make your suitcase lighter.
Life really is precious. Reading your blog left me speechless- wow. I am so happy you are safe. You are an incredible person - hearing how quickly you have bounced back and seeing everything you have learned is just amazing.
If anything similar ever happens to me I hope I have the same strenght.
Sending you hugs from NYC,
Sarah
