Back in Ecuador
Well that was a really interesting trip back to Ecuador. After being stranded in Amsterdam I also got stuck for 2 days in Madrid. But in the end of the day I really enjoyed my stay there cause like that I got to know a city that I haven't seen before.
Funny was that the first person I've talked to was a girl from Ecuador! Obviously my heart is connected with this beautiful country.
And that's exactely how I felt about being back!! Was a great feeling arriving at the airport and seeing some of my friends waiting for me!! They even organized a welcome back party - which I only joined for about two hours because I was just too bloody tired. Well, I have slept in two days about 4 hours. One reason was the time difference and the other one was that I had a computer in front of my seat in the plane. So you know one movie after the other and before you even think about sleeping the captain already announces: Cabin crew ready for landing.
And the last reason was that I had to be up on Sunday morning bloody early for our NST meeting. That was kind of though - but I managed.... and got sick soon afterwards. Monday and Tuesday the flue caught me, I had fiever, headache and just no energy for anything. Still I had to funcion, since we are in a really important phase of the whole IC bring back right now.
It's good that Marie-Louise (the girl in my house) is a doctor. She wrote me what kind of medicine I have to take - and indeed, today I feel much better. Not 100% up but on a good way to be ready for our upcoming teamdays from Friday to Sunday in Salinas.
Just a shame that I missed Severine (a Swiss friend who came with another friend to visit me) because I arried with a delay of 2 days in Guayaquil. Now they are already in Quito and heading for some other trips. Still, I'm glad they gonna come back on Monday and we still have the time to catch up!
And the best on top of everything is awaiting exactely 15 days from now on! I'm so much looking forward to catching up with my sisterheart, incredible!!
